US Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen is eager to collaborate with China on global difficulties including debt.
Yellen said in prepared remarks for a news conference that she gave ahead of a meeting of the finance ministers and central bankers of the Group of 20 in India that her recent trip to Beijing had helped to stabilize the US-China relationship and that both countries had a duty to work together on issues of international importance. Although she recognized that there is still much work to be done, she saw the trip as a crucial beginning, and she is eager to build on the advancements made in Beijing.
